Way back in the summer of 1998 I set this crazy goal of buying 10 income properties in 10 years or less.
It was a gnarly goal at the time.
In a nutshell…
I had a negative $45,000 net worth.
I was living in a crappy studio with my girlfriend.
I was self-employed and banks didn’t want to loan to me.
Little did I know that when I threw down the gauntlet and challenged Mr. Universe with my audacious plan, he laughed.
As the saying goes,
“Man plans, God laughs.”
This blog is about the journey, current challenges managing a 100+ unit portfolio, kids, dogs and a full time career.
What could possibly go wrong?
It will also offer tips and tricks for hacking your financial life with all the great information that buzzes through my headphones while running around listening to podcasts from some of the top experts in the investing field.
The goal is to inspire you to take action to achieve financial freedom in ten years or less.
What is financial freedom?
The day you have created enough passive income to replace your monthly after tax living expenses.
Or you can simply laugh and learn from my mistakes.
I have no clue where this site will go since I’m a “fire first” versus a “ready-set-aim fire” type of guy when it comes to goal setting.
All I can say is I’ve had this “Ten 2 A Million” idea burning in the back of my brain for sometime now.
It’s time to scratch the creative itch and see what happens.
